Who We Are

Village Energy, a Uganda-registered for-profit social enterprise founded in 2008 and HQed in Kampala, is a distributor of customized solar solutions that enable productive use of energy (PUE) for businesses, institutions, farms, Health, Finance and Agricultural sectors. Through custom design, financing, installation, remote monitoring, and on-site servicing, we de-risk solar adoption for poor and off grid communities, resulting in positive impact including improved livelihoods, job creation, and access to services.

Our Processes

Site Survey

Our professional team of certified engineers and technicians, at a fee, visit the site and evaluate the energy needs.

System Design

Using data from the site survey, our engineers design the most efficient solar system for your organisation.

Installation

Our technicians install the system within 7 to 14 working days after payment.

Financing

Clients pay cash or are approved for a loan by partner Banks or SACCOs.

Servicing & Maintenance​

Every system is backed by a 2-year warranty. This includes; emergency and scheduled maintenance visits.

Remote Monitoring

Our solutions make use of remote monitoring devices that store system data on a cloud based platform through an internet connection. This data can therefore be accessed remotely by the client and VE on the solar monitoring website app via computer or phone to track performance and troubleshoot any system challenges.
